SORA

     N. Christopher’s stimulating LA Times article entitled “Who Owns Your Face on SORA?” 10/28/2025 (p.1) describes using SORA app as being like sailing thru a multiverse of many “IMPROBABLE REALITIES, FANTASTICAL FUTURES & Absurdist Videos one may create using it as ChatGPT’s Open AI Maker!  However, while such AI-Generated Videos Can be mind-bending & Mezmerizing, here’s the problem:  They create an unsettling need to always 2nd-guess each bit of online content to determine if it’s real or just FAKE B.S. Since all SORA App videos are AI-Generated like Clairol, “ONLY your hairdresser knows for sure,” Only the creator or online curator knows for sure which are real versus fake, as most are since SORA has NO Option for adding/sharing any actual real video live!

Quoting Chriistopher on the strange dilemma that AI Apps like SORA create: “The biggest risk with Sora is that it makes “Plausable Deniability” IMPOSSIBLE TO OVERCOME, & That it erodes confidence in our ability to DISCERN AUTHENTIC FROM SYNTHETIC,” said Sam Gregory, an expert on “Deepfakes”…at WITNESS, a human rights organization.  “individual fakes matter, but the real damage is [that AI Creates] a fog of doubt settling over everything we see!” (our Emphasis).
